Dr. Okner is a Board Certified Cardiologist who completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan in 1982. He received his Medical Degree in 1987, and proceeded to complete his internship, residency, and cardiology fellowship at Rush-Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago, IL. Dr. Okner was appointed Chief Resident for the Department of Medicine from 1988-1991. He has been practicing in Chicago for more than 20 years. As a passion outside of work, he is a proud member of many non-for-profits as well as a frequent guest on WGN Radio discussing and answering health-related questions. He has co-authored a book The No Bull Book on Heart Disease. His passion is to educate individuals on living a healthier life.
