Q. What forms of payment are accepted?
A. We accept Medicare, Medicaid/public assistance, and private insurance at Grosse Pointe Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.  Medicare and Medicaid are health insurance programs sponsored by the federal and state governments to cover medical expenses for elderly, disabled, and low-income Americans. Medicare and Medicaid cover different types of care. Grosse Pointe Manor personnel will work with families to complete the Medicaid/public assistance application when this coverage is required.

Q. Can I keep my current doctor or do I have one assigned to me?
A. We welcome physicians to follow their patients here at Grosse Pointe Manor. If your physician is unable to make visits while you're a resident at GPM, we will assist you in recommending one of our staff physicians.

Q. What happens when hospice or palliative care is needed?
A. We provide hospice and palliative care services in our facility, or work with outside providers of hospice services on-site.

Q. What options do we have for respite/short-term care?
A. Your loved one has the option of a short-term stay at Grosse Pointe Manor, with flexibility on minimum and maximum number of days. Contact us for more details.
